Sizes
and shapes
Finding the right glasses is a matter of proportion. In four steps, you'll understand your size, learn to read the numbers printed on the temples, and discover the shapes that best harmonize with your face.
Measure your face
2 minutes · only a card neededGrab a card
A credit card or health insurance card: they all have the same standard width, so they work as a ruler.
Hold it against the mirror
Standing in front of the mirror, hold the card vertically and align its inner edge with the center of your iris.
See where it ends
The point where the opposite edge of the card falls on your eye gives you the answer: A, B, or C.
Find your size
Select your resultLook for smaller calibres, between 47 and 49 mm lens. A frame that is too wide will slide down your nose and protrude beyond your temples.
You're in the most common size: lenses between 50 and 54 mm. Almost all shapes work, choose based on style.
Aim for lenses 56 mm and up, and temples 145 mm. Small frames compress the temples and pinch behind the ear.
Read the numbers on the temples
Do you already have glasses that fit well? They are printed on the inside of the temple, always in millimeters. Compare them with those of the models in the shop: if they match, the fit will be the same.
Choose the shape
Golden rule: contrast, not repetitionOval face
Balanced proportions: almost anything works, stay within the width of the face.
Round face
Strong lines and a bit of height visually lengthen the features.
Square face
Curves and soft edges soften the strong jawline.
Rectangular face
Taller and fuller frames rebalance an elongated face.
